Tag Inspector
See what a page sends to its marketing vendors, live.
Free · in English and Spanish · replaces Tag Viewer
What it does
Tag Inspector opens in the browser side panel and shows which marketing tags a page has, who loaded each one (Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch, another manager or the page's own code, with the evidence), and every hit the page sends to Google, Meta, Adobe and more, with its parameters.
What it includes
- A catalogue that covers 54 vendors
- Health: the tags loaded twice, the ones that failed and what the page's content security policy refused
- Cost: weight, execution time, load order and when each data layer and manager was ready
- The Adobe Target decisions of the page, beside their request
- Export the audit as CSV or JSON, or copy a summary
How it relates to DLV
It is free, works in English and Spanish, makes no network call and keeps nothing after you close the browser. It replaces Tag Viewer in the Chrome Web Store. To audit the events a page sends against a plan of rules, use the Data Layer Validator.
